As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role within our Price Reporting Agency (PRA) team, helping to enhance market transparency for the national and international agri-food business. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for gathering, assessing, and integrating external market data to strengthen the quality of our market analyses. You will also participate in the weekly compilation of our unique benchmark prices and conduct market research to identify the need for reliable pricing and market information. With your insights and networking skills, you contribute valuable market intelligence to support our clients in their decision-making processes.

What we expect from you

  • A passion for data and a talent for creating innovative data solutions that meet our clients' needs.
  • The ability to collect, assess, and process data globally in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Quick comprehension of complex data challenges.
  • Affinity with the agri-food markets is a plus, though not essential.
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to convey information professionally, both on the phone and in person.
  • A commitment to high standards of quality, yet pragmatic when needed.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in data-related fields, economics, or business administration.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Your role as a data analyst at DCA Market Intelligence
As a Data Analyst, you are an essential part of our PRA team, the core of our organization. This team is responsible for compiling benchmark prices, interpreting data, and producing daily market analyses. These insights are published on our international English-language B2B platforms for the dairy, potato, and meat markets, as well as on our Dutch-language platforms Boerenbusiness.nl and Foodbusiness.nl. In this role, you will have a critical impact on expanding our knowledge and market insights, benefiting both our clients and your market-specialist colleagues. You will work closely with colleagues to provide data that is ready for implementation by our data developers.

You will also gather price inputs for our DCA Benchmark Prices by contacting relevant market players on a weekly basis. Additionally, you will stay alert to new market and data trends, contributing to the expansion of our benchmark prices and analyses.
