Buffen: 'Potato sector now needs a reset'

Traditionally, the potato trading house Weuthen holds its annual Kartoffeltag at the end of August. Director Ferdi Buffen always opens the event with his 'potato speech'. The picture he paints for the potato market is far from rosy. Buffen describes the current situation as a 'toxic cocktail for which there is no antidote yet' and talks about a reset for the potato sector.
