The European wheat market is somewhat cooler than that in the US. On the Chicago exchange, wheat rose to the highest level in three-quarters of a year. Cold weather in the Black Sea region and drought in the US caused the weather premium to be raised. The geopolitical tensions in the Black Sea region and the Middle East also added to the situation. Meanwhile, Trump declared glyphosate and phosphate as essential for American agriculture but also for military security.
