Despite some exceptions, DCA cheese benchmarks faced a mild decline across several products in week 18 (April 30), mainly driven by continued price drops in foil cheeses like Edamer and Gouda amid ample milk supply and weak demand. Specialty cheeses presented mixed trends, with Emmentaler declining more sharply while others remained relatively stable. Over the past month, foiled cheese prices have fallen significantly, reflecting weaker market conditions. In contrast, the Cheddar complex and Cagliata recorded gains, suggesting pockets of stronger seasonal demand.
