DCA benchmarks: Cheese commentary week 24
DCA cheese benchmarks moved broadly lower in week 24 (June 11), with declines across most cheese categories. Foiled cheeses led the downturn, with Edamer and Gouda posting weekly losses of more than 3%, while Mozzarella proved relatively resilient and remained one of the least volatile products. Weak sentiment and ample inventories continued to weigh on prices, although some renewed buying interest emerged in the naturally ripened cheese segment toward the end of the week. Maasdam was the only exception to the broader trend, recording a slight price increase.
