EU grain harvest nearly 10% smaller due to drought

The attacks between Russia and Ukraine on each other’s infrastructure are not without consequences for grain exports from those countries. The European Commission has revised down its harvest estimate for the grain harvest in the EU. In particular, the corn harvest is turning out much smaller than previously forecast, partly due to the drought.
