German potato harvest attacked from two sides

The area of potatoes in Germany will be smaller this year than previously assumed, according to new figures from statistics office Destatis. Together with extreme drought and heat, that has a major impact on the harvest. It could turn out to be more than 2 million tonnes lower, according to this analysis.
