EU allows import of Brazilian poultry meat again

Brazil may once again export poultry meat to the EU according to the European Commission. According to EU Commissioner for Animal Health and Welfare Oliver Varhelyi, the Brazilian authorities have provided sufficient data to support the 'free from avian influenza' status. Member states can now discuss the phased lifting of the current export bans and restrictions.
