Germany counts more piglets and hardly any closures

The number of pigs in Germany has increased, according to data from the statistics agency Destatis published at the end of 2025. Especially the number of piglets and young fattening pigs shows a rapid increase. Furthermore, it is noticeable that the number of companies is hardly decreasing.
