Relations shift in the Danish pig market

After several years of sharply declining slaughter figures, Danish slaughterhouses tapped from a very different source in 2025. The domestic supply of meat pigs is growing, which is clearly reflected in the slaughter numbers. Especially in the second half of the year, more pigs were processed. Although Danish Crown recently indicated that it also sees the supply growing in its own slaughterhouses, the number of pigs processed by the concern still declined last year.
